Volume limitations in concert halls are pushing guitarists to use increasingly higher preamp gain with lower master levels, thus forgetting the advantages of distortion and natural compression of the power stage. With the new Laney GHR series, halfway between Lionheart amps (more "classic British") and Ironheart amps (oriented "hi-gain"), regain control over this power stage and mix the amount of preamp distortion with the amount of tube amp distortion as you see fit! When using channel 2, don't think of the OUTPUT control as a general volume but as a way to engage the amplification section more or less. Then adjust the output level with the VOLUME control!
