When the original circuit was developed in the 80s, there were many overdrives on the market that musicians found too "nasal," but Nobels worked hard to create a pedal with a very "open" sound that works with you and your amp. The result was the ODR-1, German-made at its best, with a combination of resistors and capacitors to provide precise filtering and a pedal that responds to your dynamics and adds texture to your sound in a very natural and musical way, while preserving the character of your guitar. In 2020, Nobels chose to improve this circuit to release the ODR-1BC. Listening to users of effects pedals and professional musicians worldwide, Nobels added a Bass Cut switch under the battery compartment to help reduce bass. In standard mode, you still have the full frequency response of the original, which is perfect for adding warmth to your single-coil pickups. In addition, the internal power supply circuit accepts 9 to 18 Volts for more dynamic range. These new features do not alter the sound but significantly increase the pedal's versatility for modern setups. With the Drive control, saturation can be adjusted from almost clean to maximum overdrive. The circuit also interacts very well with your guitar's volume control, reducing saturation by lowering the volume. The tone is controlled by the Spectrum control with a center click and fluorescent pointers on knobs that glow in the dark. Push the Spectrum up to increase bass and treble at the same time. The mids remain untouched in any position of this control, ensuring transparency and warmth of sound. Features: * Analog overdrive pedal. * Bass Cut switch to reduce bass. * Can be powered from 9 to 18 Volts for more dynamic range. * Remote input for external activation. * Controls: Drive, Spectrum, and Level. * Buffered bypass. * Rugged metal chassis. * Low power consumption. * Top-mounted battery compartment, easily accessible. • Comes with 4 Mounty-P mounting plates (for screwing onto a pedalboard).
