Overview: The FATRAT pedal is the latest member of the RAT pedal family. It uses the legendary Whiteface '85 as its foundation, and we added a bass-enhancement circuit, a switchable clipping section, and a few other modifications.
You can choose between silicon clipping, as found on classic RAT pedals, or MOSFET/germanium clipping, which is entirely new for the RAT. This section provides a slight midrange scoop and softening of the upper mids across the pedal's entire gain range, making it sound more amp-like and natural.
The Thick switch provides a substantial bass boost while simultaneously cutting the treble, making the pedal better suited to bass and down-tuned instruments.
It can be powered at 9V or 18V for greater dynamics.
Its socketed OP07DP op-amp is easily and quickly replaceable without soldering.
Like all RAT pedals, it features true bypass and is made in the USA.
