An Evolution of the Myth: The LM741 Chip
For this pedal, we chose to switch to the LM741 chip. While it remains in the tradition of the original RAT2 circuit, this chip is more powerful and efficient. This technical choice considerably broadens the gain range before reaching the classic RAT sound. It is a true upgrade to the original circuit, offering greater versatility and control.

Dynamic Versatility: Switchable Diodes
In addition to the extended gain range, the front-panel selector lets you choose between two distinct clipping modes:
? Silicon Diodes (Classic RAT): For an aggressive, punchy character, with that distinctive bite in the midrange.
? BAT41 Schottky Diodes: For a smoother, more open response, with rounded mids and a perfectly balanced tone.

Premium Components and Feel
The Sterling Vermin is equipped with CTS potentiometers and oversized knobs that provide smooth rotation with ideal tension for precise adjustment.
