The SE Hollowbody II Piezo marries the power and stability of a solidbody electric guitar with the captivating resonance of a hollow instrument. The 58/15 LT 'S' pickups deliver clarity and balance, resulting in a powerful and musical sound on a hollowbody platform. Equipped with an LR Baggs/PRS piezo system, the SE Hollowbody II Piezo allows musicians to produce both acoustic and electric tones with a single instrument. The guitar is designed with two distinct volume controls (magnetic and piezo) and two output jacks (Mix/Piezo and magnetic). Musicians can plug into the Mix/Piezo output and use the individual volume controls to blend the 58/15 LT 'S' pickups with the acoustic sounds of the piezo. It is also possible to use the output jacks separately, with the magnetic pickups plugged into an amplifier and the piezo connected to an acoustic amplifier or a DI box into the mixing console. When using the magnetic output in isolation, the piezo battery is completely bypassed, which provides security (in this scenario, the magnetic pickups continue to function even if the piezo battery is flat).
